Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing
- Intensive

EMDR Intensives offer a short-term, extended-session option for trauma treatment when weekly therapy doesn’t feel like the right fit. This format allows for deeper, more focused processing while maintaining safety, pacing, and nervous system support.

EMDR Intensives are not about rushing healing — they’re about creating enough space for the work your system is already asking for.

An EMDR Intensive is a structured format that provides longer therapy sessions over one or two days rather than spreading the work out over months. This approach allows for continuity, containment, and depth, while remaining grounded in trauma-informed care.

Each intensive is thoughtfully planned and paced, with preparation and integration built into the process.

Why Choose An Intensive

EMDR Intensives may be helpful if you:

  • Feel stuck despite previous therapy

  • Want focused support around specific experiences

  • Have limited availability for weekly sessions

  • Prefer fewer interruptions between processing sessions

  • Are ready for trauma work with structure and support

This format is especially helpful for individuals whose schedules, nervous systems, or life circumstances make weekly therapy challenging.

What’s Included

  • EMDR Intensives are designed to support safety, regulation, and integration — not just processing.

  • Your intensive includes:

  • A free 30-minute consultation to assess fit

  • A required introductory/preparation session at standard rate

  • Extended EMDR sessions (virtual or in person)

  • Built-in breaks and nervous system regulation

  • Integration support and follow-up guidance

  • All intensives are individualized and collaboratively planned.

Who It’s Helpful For

EMDR can help if you’re struggling with:

  • Trauma (single event or ongoing)

  • Anxiety or panic

  • Negative self-beliefs

  • Emotional triggers

  • Feeling “stuck” in the past

  • Chronic stress

  • Relationship wounds

  • Attachment Issues

What to Expect / Timeline

EMDR Intensives are paced intentionally. Sessions include time for grounding, regulation, and integration alongside processing. Breaks are built in, and your nervous system is prioritized throughout the experience.

Healing work can be meaningful — and also tiring. Space for rest and reflection is an important part of the process.

During your consultation call we can discuss which option is best for you.

We will have an initial 50-90  minute session to allow for assessment and preparation prior to the Intensive. We will also schedule 1 to 2 follow up sessions post-intensive.
