ADULT AUTISM & ADHD ASSESSMENTS
You’ve Been Getting Through Life. You Still Have Questions.
Maybe you’ve wondered about ADHD or autism for years. Maybe something you read, a conversation, or your child’s diagnosis made you start looking at your own experiences differently.
You might be managing work, relationships, and everyday responsibilities while feeling exhausted by how much effort it takes.
An assessment gives us time to explore those patterns, understand your experiences, and talk about what support could look like.
Maybe You’ve Found Ways to Manage. It Still Takes a Lot.
You might be looking for an assessment because you:
Have trouble starting tasks, keeping track of time, or staying organized.
Feel overwhelmed by sounds, textures, changes, or everyday demands.
Spend a lot of energy preparing for social situations or recovering afterward.
Rely on routines, reminders, or systems that take considerable effort to maintain.
Have been treated for anxiety or depression but still have questions.
Wonder whether ADHD, autism, or both might help explain your experiences.
You don’t need to arrive certain about a diagnosis. Exploring those questions is part of the assessment.
There’s More to Understand Than How You Look on the Outside.
As a neurodivergent therapist, I bring professional training and lived experience to this work. I know how meaningful it can be to better understand yourself and find words for experiences you’ve had trouble explaining.
I also know your experience won’t necessarily look like mine. I want to understand what daily life feels like for you, including your strengths, challenges, and the effort other people may not see.
We’ll explore your history, relationships, sensory experiences, and the ways you’ve learned to manage or adapt. That includes masking, such as hiding difficulties, rehearsing conversations, or pushing through discomfort to meet expectations.
We’ll also consider how trauma, anxiety, mood, and sleep may affect the picture. My goal is to help you leave with a clearer understanding of yourself and practical recommendations that fit your life.
What Does the Assessment Process Look Like?
1. Before We Meet
You’ll complete intake paperwork and questionnaires about your experiences. We’ll discuss any relevant records you have available and what you’re hoping to understand.
2. Your Assessment
We’ll spend time exploring your experiences now and earlier in life through clinical interviews and additional measures selected for your assessment. You can ask questions, request clarification, and let me know when you need a break.
3. Feedback & Next Steps
We’ll meet to review the findings, discuss any diagnoses supported by the assessment, and talk through recommendations. This is also time to ask questions and consider what the results mean for you.
Tools That Help Guide the Conversation
Depending on your assessment needs, the process may include:
Cherry AADI
An adult-focused diagnostic interview exploring ADHD, autism, and their overlap.
MIGDAS-2
A sensory-based autism interview that explores areas such as sensory experiences, communication, interests, and relationships.
DIVA-5
A structured ADHD interview exploring symptoms and their impact during childhood and adulthood.

These assessments are for adults ages 18 and older who are exploring whether ADHD, autism, or both may help explain their experiences.
You may be seeking a better understanding of yourself, clarification about longstanding challenges, recommendations for support, or documentation to request workplace or college accommodations. You don’t need to be certain about a diagnosis before reaching out.

Requirements vary by employer, school, healthcare provider, and program. I provide clinical diagnostic assessments as a master’s-level Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Some organizations require an evaluation from a psychologist, physician, or another specifically qualified provider, or require additional testing.
If you need documentation for a particular purpose, please confirm the organization’s requirements before scheduling. You’re welcome to share those requirements with me so we can discuss whether my assessment is a good fit. An assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis, accommodations, or eligibility for services.
You Don’t Have to Have It Figured Out Before Reaching Out.
If you’re wondering whether an assessment would be helpful, we can start with a conversation about your questions, the process, and whether my services fit what you’re looking for.
