THERAPY SERVICES IN CAMBRIDGE, OHIO + ONLINE
Trauma Therapy, EMDR & Counseling for Adults in Cambridge, Ohio
I work with adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, major life changes, perinatal mental health, sleep concerns, and the effects of high-stress work.
Some people come in knowing exactly what they want help with. Others know something isn't working but aren't particularly interested in diagnosing themselves before making an appointment.
Either is fine.
I offer in-person therapy in Cambridge, Ohio, online therapy throughout Ohio, and virtual services for eligible clients in Indiana and Minnesota.
01 — TRAUMA + PTSD
Trauma + PTSD Therapy in Cambridge, Ohio
Trauma doesn't always look dramatic from the outside.
You might be sleeping badly, avoiding certain situations, feeling constantly alert, getting irritated faster than you used to, or having memories come up when you don't want them to. You may feel disconnected or numb. You might also be doing pretty well most of the time until something sets off a reaction that feels much bigger than what's happening in front of you.
Sometimes we can point to one experience. Sometimes it's years of things that are harder to separate.
I use several approaches to trauma treatment, including EMDR, Brainspotting, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), somatic work, and parts work. What we use depends on you and what we're actually working on.
02 — FIRST RESPONDERS
Therapy for First Responders in Ohio
I work with police, firefighters, EMS professionals, dispatchers, and others whose jobs regularly involve situations most people don't encounter in their everyday lives.
Sometimes there's one call that sticks.
Other times, there isn't one obvious event. It's years of staying alert, making quick decisions, working odd hours, seeing difficult things, and putting one call aside because another one is already coming in.
Therapy might focus on cumulative stress, trauma or PTSD, poor sleep, irritability, hypervigilance, feeling numb, relationship changes, or having a hard time turning work mode off when you're home.
You won't need to spend your first few appointments explaining to me why your job is stressful. We can get to what it's actually doing to you.
03 — EMDR
EMDR Therapy + EMDR Intensives in Ohio
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is an evidence-based approach commonly used to treat trauma and PTSD.
A lot of people understand perfectly well that something is over. They know they're safe now. They may have already spent years understanding why the experience affected them.
And they're still having the reaction.
EMDR gives us a different way to work with experiences that haven't fully resolved without requiring you to spend every appointment retelling everything that happened.
EMDR Intensives
Sometimes a standard therapy hour works perfectly well. Other times, we're finally getting into the work and it's time to stop and pick it back up next week.
EMDR intensives give us a longer block of uninterrupted time to focus on a particular issue. They're not automatically the right choice for everyone, so we'll talk about whether that format makes sense for what you want to work on.
INVESTMENT + OPTIONS
Choose the Level of Support That Fits
Some people prefer the rhythm of traditional weekly therapy. Others benefit from more uninterrupted time to focus, process, and integrate. EMDR can be offered in several formats depending on what makes the most sense for you and what you’d like to work on.
TRADITIONAL THERAPY
50–60 minute sessions
$100–$160
MINI INTENSIVES + EXTENDED EMDR
90-Minute Extended Session — $205
A recommended starting point for many EMDR clients who want more processing time than a traditional session allows.
2-Hour Focused Session — $275
Additional space for deeper processing around a specific concern.
3-Hour Deep Dive Session — $405
Extended, focused work with room for processing and integration.
FULL-DAY EMDR INTENSIVE — $950
Approximately 5–6 clinical hours with built-in breaks and time for integration.
TWO-DAY EMDR INTENSIVE — $1,950
Two intentionally paced therapy days designed for deeper, focused work.
A Note About Pricing
EMDR intensives and mini intensives are self-pay services and generally cannot be billed through insurance. Your investment includes preparation, treatment planning, session time, and recommendations for next steps.
Not sure which format is right for you? A free consultation is available to determine fit.
04 — ANXIETY + DEPRESSION
Anxiety + Depression Therapy for Adults
Anxiety and depression can look very different from person to person, and neither necessarily means you've stopped functioning.
With anxiety, you might spend a lot of time anticipating problems, replaying conversations, overthinking decisions, or finding it difficult to actually relax. Your brain always seems to have something else to work on.
Depression might look more like exhaustion, irritability, low motivation, feeling disconnected, or realizing you're doing everything you're supposed to do without enjoying very much of it.
And sometimes you're dealing with both.
We'll look at what's actually happening in your life, what may be contributing to it, and what you've already tried rather than assuming everyone with anxiety or depression needs the same set of coping skills.
05 — NEURODIVERGENCE
Therapy for Neurodivergent Adults
I work with adults with ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence, including people who weren't diagnosed or identified until adulthood.
Maybe you've spent years being told you need to be more organized, more disciplined, less sensitive, better at keeping up, or simply better at doing things the way everyone else seems to do them.
Getting new information about how your brain works can explain a lot. It can also bring up questions about your identity, relationships, work, masking, burnout, and the strategies you've spent years using to get by.
I'm less interested in teaching you how you should function and more interested in understanding what actually works for you.
06 — PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH
Pregnancy + Postpartum Therapy
Pregnancy, postpartum, and becoming a parent can be complicated, including when having a baby was something you really wanted.
I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, difficult or traumatic birth experiences, relationship changes, identity changes, and the adjustment to pregnancy and parenthood.
You might be surprised by how anxious you feel. You might miss parts of your old life. Your relationship may feel different. You may be exhausted and overwhelmed while also loving your baby very much.
None of those things cancel the others out.
Therapy gives us somewhere to talk about what this period of your life is actually like rather than what you expected it to be like.
07 — LIFE TRANSITIONS
Therapy for Life Transitions
Not everything that brings someone to therapy is a mental health diagnosis.
Divorce. Moving. Changing careers. Leaving a job. Starting a relationship or ending one. Becoming a parent. Losing someone. Realizing that something you used to want isn't what you want anymore.
Even changes you chose can be difficult once you're actually living through them.
Sometimes therapy during a major life transition is practical. Sometimes it's emotional. Usually it's a little of both.
We can look at what's changing, what you're having a hard time with, and what you want the next part of your life to look like without treating the fact that you're struggling with a major change as though something must be wrong with you.
08 — SLEEP + INSOMNIA
CBT-I + Therapy for Insomnia and Sleep Problems
Sleep problems have a way of becoming their own problem.
You might struggle to fall asleep, wake repeatedly during the night, or find yourself wide awake hours before your alarm. After a while, you can start worrying about sleep before you've even gotten into bed.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), an evidence-based treatment specifically developed for insomnia.
Sleep can also overlap with trauma, anxiety, high-stress work, shift work, and other things happening in your life. We'll look at the larger picture instead of assuming you simply need better sleep hygiene or another list of things to do before bed.
Other Ways We Might Work
I don't use one type of therapy with every client. Along with EMDR, I may incorporate other approaches depending on what we're working on and what seems useful.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting can be useful when you know something is bothering you but have a hard time putting the experience into words.
It gives us another way to work with reactions, memories, or experiences that you may already understand but haven't been able to change through talking alone.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
CPT is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD that looks at how trauma can affect the way you think about yourself and what happened.
It gives us a structured way to work with beliefs around safety, trust, responsibility, and control that may have developed afterward.
Somatic + Parts Work
Sometimes you understand what's happening intellectually, but that understanding hasn't changed how you react or feel.
Somatic and parts-oriented approaches give us other ways to work with those patterns by paying attention to physical responses, emotions, and the different parts of your experience.
MY APPROACH
You Don't Need to Pick a Therapy Acronym Before We Meet.
EMDR. CPT. CBT-I. Brainspotting.
You don't need to research all of them and decide which one you need before you schedule an appointment.
That's part of my job.
We'll talk about why you're looking for therapy, what's happening now, what you've already tried, and what you'd like to be different. From there, I can recommend an approach and explain why I think it may be useful.
Sometimes that's a structured trauma treatment. Sometimes it's regular old conversation.
Often it's a combination.
